Protein Oatmeal

I get asked this question a lot: "what do you eat before a morning workout?" Well, my answer used to be a cup of coffee. Recently, I've incorporated pro-oatmeal into my diet & my energy couldn't be better. 

What's in my bowl:

  • 1 cup gluten free oatmeal (1/2 dry)
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla egg-white protein powder (mixed into the oatmeal after it's cooked)
  • cinnamon to taste
    Topped with:
  • 1 small handful chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup mixed berries
  • 5 small banana slices

I eat about half of the bowl before my workout and save the rest to eat after! If I am attending a mid morning workout... I usually eat the whole thing! Oh, and I still drink the cup of coffee :)
