My Mug of Morning Magic

Looking for 1 cup of healthy goodness to kick start your day? Look no further...

• 1 cup of Green Tea (I love Tazo zen or a matcha blend)--- loaded with antioxidants & improves blood flow

• 1/2 lemon, juiced--- stimulates digestive track, lots of vitamin C! 

• 1/2 tsp turmeric--- best natural anti-inflammatory around, sort of obsessed with this spice

• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar--- balances PH (alkaline/acidity balance)

• 1 pinch of cayenne pepper--- aids digestion & detoxifies! 

 - Optional ingredient if you have it handy--- 1/2 tsp of fresh grated ginger to help reduce pain and inflammation!

This concoction may be tough for some of you to sip on. If that's the case, try adding some honey or agave for added sweetness.  If I'm not drinking this concoction I'm usually adding turmeric to my egg scrambles and taking 1 shot of ACV a day! 

I don't always start my day this way, but when I do, it feels good knowing I'm fueling my body properly right from the start… Something I do ALWAYS do first thing every morning is drink 8-16oz of water, the number 1 building block to good nutrition, but I'll save that conversation for another post!
