My Quick Post Run Core Blast

I am one week into a 15-week running plan and have been trying to add some extra core work into my new running routine. Here is a quick breakdown of the core blast I like to do after each run! 

Dirty 30

30 weighted running man (see video here, I balance on a weighted medicine ball. This helps stimulate more of the core muscles, a Bosu ball works well too!)

30 weighted Russian twists

15 weighted toe reaches

Repeat 3 times

-Need a modification? Lose the weight!

4-minute plank series

1 minute low plank (on your elbows)

1 minute right side elbow plank (lift top leg & arm for an added challenge)

1 minute left side elbow plank (lift top leg & arm for an added challenge)

1 minute low plank (on your elbows)

-The goal is to stay on your toes the entire time. Need a modification? Try doing this plank series on your knees!
