My Sing-Along Running Playlist

Some of my best blog ideas come to me while I’m exercising, mostly when I’m on a run. Running has always been my escape, a place to ease my mind, somewhere to go when I want to decompress. Some people go to their yoga mat, I like to lace up my shoes and go on a run.

Lately I have been enjoying my runs more than usual. I’m not sure if it’s because I found a really good running trail or that I have a really awesome playlist right now. I created this playlist for my 8-hour drive from San Diego to Roseville and have been loving it on my runs ever since.

To be honest my playlist is pretty random. There’s some country music, today’s pop music (ok mainly Justin Beiber & Nick Jonas), and a lot of awesome oldies from Queen, Celine Dion Elton John, & Billy Joel. This playlist consists of so many sing-alongs that I catch myself singing out loud on the trail pretty often. What I’ve realized is that it’s not really the tempo of the song that gets me going, but whether I can sing along or not. It’s like I can’t stop smiling on my runs lately!
